Amco Gibraltar Ltd is a private company which began trading in 1998 and is run by two directors.

The Company has always dealt with major high profile Beautification projects for the Government of Gibraltar along with road improvement schemes, building and demolition works, and MOD infrastructure projects. More recently it has been involved with major infrastructure projects in the private sector.

The workforce is a balance of highly skilled craftsman, semi-skilled workers and labourers combined with qualified plant operators and lorry drivers.

In addition to this there is a skilled team of plant fitters providing a full service to the considerable range of plant and equipment owned by the Company.

Gibraltar is a community of around thirty thousand people with an area of some 7 square kilometres and in such a small community the performance and the finished product of the Company in such a high profile position provide both valuable advertising and leads to recommendations to prospective clients.

The hands on management at Director level ensures that commitment to customer satisfaction is communicated to all levels.

since May 2003

Amco (Gibraltar) Ltd has been a member of the Construction and Allied Trades Association (CATA) since its conception over ten years ago.

CATA deals with all aspects of wages, conditions of Employment & Industrial Relations with the union UNITE (T&GWU)

The Amco Quality Management System described in this manual and in its associated procedures are regularly reviewed and audited to ensure progressive and measurable improvement.

The system is maintained by the Quality Manager in conjunction with the two working Directors.

All staff and key supervisory employees have access to these documents and will ensure that all employees under their direction properly use these systems as and when required.

Apart from the Quality Manual the Management Systems also include Quality Procedures and relevant forms complementary to these procedures.The main aim of the Quality System is to monitor the various business processes, establish clear management control, and encourage continual improvement.
